United Fund holds annual meeting

MIAMI — The United Fund of Globe-Miami held their annual meeting at the Bullion Plaza Cultural Center and Museum to give awards and to hear from participating agencies about their activities in the preceding year.

The thirty agencies also shared their plans for 2018.

Arizona Public Service, Capstone’s Pinto Valley Mining Operations, the City of Globe, Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center, and Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold each got Contributing Employer awards for allowing their employees to share with their neighbors through payroll deduction.  

Globe Miami Cares Coalition, which includes the Cities of Globe and Miami, Capstone and the Globe Lions club were also honored for their contributions to hurricane relief.
