Dr. Eric Swensen and his wife Rachel moved to Globe about 3 months ago, and they have already found their niche in the community.
Their vision to bring Globe into the 21st Century of dentistry with newer technology has already brought new patients to their practice, and with that, new friendships. “We love the small town feel”, states Rachel, “and the weather is great!”
However, moving to Globe and opening a local practice was not something that was planned, but rather something that happened by chance.
From 2008-2012, the Swensen’s lived in Tucson, where Dr. Swensen worked for another practice. He decided to take a leisurely drive one-day, and ended up Globe, where he immediately felt like this is where he wanted to be someday. Although his dream didn’t happen instantly, it eventually became a reality and they are so glad they did it!
In the short time they have been here, Dr. Swensen is already coaching football for 5th and 6th graders, and Rachel just gave birth to their second son, who keeps her busy, along with running the practice with her husband.
Rachel is very passionate about bringing their services not only to Globe-Miami, but also to the surrounding towns of San Carlos, Superior, Kearny, Hayden and Winkelman. “With the services we offer, such as same day crowns, there is no need for folks to drive all the way down to the valley.” Other dental work includes wisdom teeth extraction, implants and root canals.
Emergency walk-in’s are welcome and most insurances are accepted. For those who are afraid of going to the dentist, IV sedation will soon be added.
On Oct. 28, Copper Vista Dental will be having an Open House from noon - 2 p.m., and invites the community to come out and meet Dr. Swensen and his family.
There will be food and raffle prizes to give away!
Copper Vista Dental is open M-F 8am-5pm, with extended hours on Wednesday and is located at 1450 E. South St., Suite 3, Globe.
